Chapter - 7:  Challenge begins, Travel starts in Road for Glory.

The day had finally arrived. A palpable buzz of anticipation filled the air at Vishwa Academy's Arena Stage. The much-awaited admission test for the inner area was about to commence, and every aspiring participant, regardless of their team's previous standing, felt the weight of the moment. Acharya, the revered supervisor, oversaw the opening ceremony, his presence lending an air of solemnity to the proceedings.

Once the formalities concluded, the true challenge began. Captains of teams that hadn't secured a top-two spot in earlier rounds stepped forward for the draw. This was their chance to determine their initial opponents, a roll of the dice that could set the tone for their entire journey. Tulan, with a steady hand, was the first to draw, revealing a "B2 Spot" card. One by one, the other captains followed suit, their faces a mixture of anticipation and quiet determination. With the draws complete, they rejoined their respective teams, the air thick with strategic whispers and last-minute pep talks.

The referee's voice cut through the murmur, announcing the first match of the test: Alixm's team versus Bob's team. A ripple of excitement went through the crowd as both teams strode purposefully into the arena, their expressions a blend of focus and resolve. Before the clash of skills, a moment of tradition: each team introduced themselves, a respectful acknowledgment of their opponents.

The referee's signal ignited the battle. Alixm, a blur of motion, charged forward, his phoenix fire skill crackling with raw energy. Behind him, Emely began preparing her air concentration balls, her movements fluid and precise, ready to offer ranged support. Kanjo, meanwhile, settled into a focused stance, his mind already weaving the intricate threads of his emotion-based power.

On the opposing side, Kailash wasted no time. With a swift movement, he activated his skill, and a thick, white cotton cloud billowed forth, rapidly engulfing the arena. Alixm, undeterred, unleashed his fire, attempting to rip through the ethereal barrier. But for every wisp of cloud he incinerated, more appeared, an endless, swirling expanse. It was then that Kanjo's moment arrived. He unleashed "Emotion Shock," a wave of subtle energy that bypassed physical defenses and struck directly at Kailash's emotional control. The effect was immediate; the once impenetrable clouds began to dissipate, their ethereal forms wavering and shrinking.

With the arena clearing, Alixm surged forward once more. However, before he could reach Kailash, Sasi intervened. With a swift, almost imperceptible motion, he opened a vortex gate. Bob, with a powerful leap, entered the swirling portal. In a blink, Sasi instantly repositioned the gate directly in front of Kailash. From within the vortex, a massive rock hurtled out, striking Kanjo with devastating force. The impact sent him flying, out of the arena and out of the match.

While Bob and Sasi executed their coordinated attack, Alixm had reached Kailash and delivered a searing fire punch. Bob and Sasi, ever the protectors, tried to save Kailash, using the vortex gate again. A new opening shimmered near Kailash, and Bob pushed another rock through. But Emely, quick as thought, blew the projectile away with a precise burst of air. Seeing Kailash’s unconscious form, Sasi increased the movement speed of his vortex gates, realizing he now had to contend with both Alixm and Emely.

Sasi skillfully brought Bob back into the arena. Bob and Emely immediately engaged in a long-range battle, Bob sending a barrage of rocks toward her. Yet, Emely met each incoming projectile with a perfectly aimed air concentration ball, neutralizing the threat. Though the skirmish appeared evenly matched, Bob's earth skill was draining his energy far faster than Emely's air manipulation. In the center of the arena, Alixm relentlessly pressed his attack against Sasi, who was masterfully evading with his vortex gates, his only objective to keep Alixm occupied.

Observing the unfavorable turn of events, Emely shifted her focus. With a sudden burst of power, she launched a mutated version of her air concentration ball at Sasi. Instead of exploding, this new skill ensnared him, trapping him within a sphere of compressed air. With Emely's attention diverted, Bob seized the opportunity. With a final, desperate surge of energy, he unleashed a powerful attack, overpowering Emely and knocking her out of the fight.

The opening Emely created was all Alixm needed. He slammed into the trapped Sasi, delivering a decisive blow that sent him reeling. Now, only Alixm and Bob remained on the arena floor. Alixm, with his raw phoenix fire power, launched a direct, head-on assault. Bob, having exhausted most of his energy to defeat Emely, found himself unable to keep pace with Alixm's sheer might.

Bob's energy reserves dwindled, his earth skill faltering. He needed time to recover, to regain the power to wield his abilities. Though physically tougher than Alixm, he couldn't withstand the relentless onslaught of phoenix fire punches. Eventually, even Bob succumbed, defeated by Alixm's unwavering determination.

The first match of the admission test concluded with a resounding victory for Alixm's team. As the final moments played out, a sense of camaraderie washed over the spectators. All the hostel mates returned to tend to their friends, three of whom needed to recover their strength. With no other matches scheduled for that day, the roommates rallied, offering support and aid to Alixm, Emely, and Kanjo.

Evening settled over the academy, and by then, all three had recovered. Guru, their mentor, arrived, checking on their well-being and delivering news: the team in slot A1 had won the second match of the day. He informed them that the next games would take place tomorrow before taking his leave.

Later, Tulan, eager to learn from their experience, requested Alixm, Emely, and Bob to share their real match experiences. Their roommates, recognizing the value of such insights, eagerly listened, absorbing every detail to prepare for their own upcoming challenges.

The road ahead is long, and the challenges will only grow. But for now, a brief respite is earned. Adios, we go on.
